After submission of the HealthConnect Australia (HCA) Provider Directory FHIR IG Australian FHIR Community Project to the Australian FHIR Coordination Committee, the Australian Digital Health Agency, through its Clinical Informatics (CI) team, would like to engage the FHIR community to seek feedback on the work done to ensure the IG is technically sound. The primary aim of this IG is to support implementers integrating with the HCA Provider Directory service using a FHIR-based interface. The IG outlines the FHIR profiles, interactions, and design considerations relevant to this integration, in alignment with approved business and information requirements. Tentative schedule for community engagement and review: Kick-off presentation at the HL7 AU FHIR Working Group on 19 November 2025 FHIR IG Snapshot 1 available for review on 20 November 2025 Community feedback/contributions by 24 February 2026 Final version of IG published early March 2026 We would like to hear your thoughts on: Technical accuracy and clarity of the modelled profiles and interactions Any gaps or inconsistencies Suggestions for improvement or clarification General feedback on structure and usability This post will be updated once the final schedule is confirmed and the FHIR IG Snapshot 1 is published. For a FHIR service Endpoint definition think we should be looking at a generalised approach to use IG based actor definitions of payload to enable discovery of these roles with associated capability and obligations e.g. http://hl7.org.au/fhir/ereq/ActorDefinition/au-erequesting-actor-server

was thinking an actor reference would be a known system requirement so you would go and lookup what you need; which would mean you already know where it is defined IG wise
